When you were little what did you hope to do when you grew up?

I really wanted to be a solicitor when I was younger.  There are some similarities in childcare - I often find myself on the receiving end of a compelling argument, the only difference is that the person making their case is under five!  Despite the change of direction, I absolutely love what I do and it is definitely the right career for me.

Tell us about your previous childcare experience...

I have worked with children of all ages, though in my previous nursery I had to move between rooms a lot.  I wasn't a Key Person so didn't get to know the children that well or complete observations and plan for their next steps.  I did help with different activities, preparing and organising the room for these.

What do you like most about working at Incy Wincy’s?

Since returning to childcare and joining the Incy's team, I've enjoyed building my knowledge and developing my skills, particularly in working with babies.  I really enjoy seeing the many stages of development of each baby  and how each one grows into their own personality.  I work with a lovely team of people...and I'm always the first to volunteer to taste our new menus.  I like to be a good role model to our children!

Hayley's favourite joke:

"What's pink & fluffy? - Pink fluff

What's yellow & fluffy? - Yellow fluff

What's blue & fluffy? - Pink fluff holding its breath"
