We're going on a bear hunt

Posted on December 14, 2015

The past few weeks the ladybird children have loved listening to the story 'we're going on a bear hunt'. The children know most of the words to this story and have begun to add their own actions.

A lot of our play has also come from the story, in the room we have been using our small world figures and natural items to set up our very own bear hunt world. We have been building caves to hide bears (and children) in.

Out on our adventures around the park we have been on our own bear hunts, splash sploshing across puddles, stumble tripping through the woods and squelching through thick oozy mud!

Some of the parents have even fed back that they have being playing all things bear hunt at home. One of our parents came into nursery and said "Every time we go on a walk we have to go on a bear hunt. They tell me 'we find the bears' "

I cant wait to see where this adventure takes us next!
