Family First Aid

Posted on January 21, 2016

At our December meeting the Parent Forum members expressed an interest in First Aid training for families, members said they would feel reassured to know what to do if their child had a accident or fell ill suddenly.  We share this view which is why all our staff hold a current paediatric first aid certificate and as a team we attend a critical incident refresher workshop each year to ensure we are prepared for anything that occurs.

Ryan Greer of Life Lines (www.lifelinesweb.co.uk), our training provider has agreed to deliver a family first aid workshop and is delighted that parents have expressed an interest in this type of event.  He is designing the workshop to cover a variety of scenarios and events including:

  • The Unconscious Casualty
  • Anaphylaxis
  • Choking
  • Injuries & applying dressings

The  3 hour workshop will be held over 2 evenings, 10th & 17th March from 7- 8.30pm.  The cost for this is £15.00 per person with the option of purchasing a handbook should you wish.  In true Incy Wincy style we will of course provide tea, coffee and freshly baked biscuits!

Places are limited so if you would like to book a place on the workshop please give us a call on 01677 425550 or pop into the office, if the event is oversubscribed we will happily arrange a further workshop.
