Count Down

Posted on March 25, 2017

It could be the beginning of another mad maths activity or possibly just an ingredient for our Take Home Baking, but it's not!

These special eggs were delivered to our Dragonfly children a few days ago, who along with Leanne and Sarah E. placed them carefully into the incubator. While patiently waiting for their Bantam chicks to hatch they are making the most of the learning time; developing their number skills (counting down the days), playing with sounds as they think of names for the new arrivals, learning about life cycles and looking for other signs of Spring. Once hatched the chicks will spend a little time in nursery, however animals need care 7 days a week and with that in mind we asked our friends at Big Sheep, Little Cow if they will adopt them - we have of course agreed visitation rights!

Our Easter Family Fun event in aid of Martin House Hospice is being held on Sunday 9th April, we look forward to welcoming alot of our Incy Wincy families on the day and hope you can guess the names of our chicks.

P.S. we would be grateful for any donations for the Tombola and Cake stall
